  Annual Binghamton Aeros’ Giant-Scale Fun-fly was held August 9-10, 2003 at at the Chenango Bridge Airport. District II AVP Gary Fitch reports on Southern Tier Aero Radio Society (STARS) 26th Annual Scale Rally held at Olean Municipal Airport July 12-13, 2003 Plans for the 2004 District II Fly-in by the Jersey Coast Radio Control Club will host the event at the club’s field in Wall Township, New Jersey

  Dave Mathewson (District II VP) comments on the significant advantage asking our neighbors for their support.  Delaware Valley Federation of Model Airplane Clubs hosted Scouts to the Skies Camporee at Lakehurst Navel Air Station, Lakehurst, New Jersey  Jim Gallagher of Washington Crossing RC helped organize a first-class static display for the Scouts Mohawk Valley Radio Control Modelers (Firebirds) put a lot of emphasis on community relations  The Town of Brookhaven on Long Island, New York, provides two flying sites in the town for modelers to enjoy  Long Island Aero Radio Society (LIARS) recently presents plaque, recognizing  the Town of Brookhaven  support  Bob Reynolds report on RC Combat at Defense Hill Flying Site

  Dave Mathewson (District II VP) comments on District II clubs that are involved with introducing model aviation to their communities, young and old alike. Stu Baron of the Union Model Airplane Club sent the following about a program he helped organize. Ithaca Radio Control Society (IRCS) (Ithaca, New York) hold an annual winter building project to help new members learn proper building techniques.  Pat Savolskis and Dan Stomka learns building techniques from IRCS members Arlo English, Otis Drew, and Jim Rundle.  The Jersey Coast Sport Fliers (JCSF) is one of District II’s largest and most active clubs that is involved with their community.  New Jersey Pine Barons’ club attracts large numbers of middle and high-school students who visit during field trips each year.

  Thunder Over Tupper - held annual fly-in held at Tupper Lake, New York   Mountain Radio Control (RC) Modelers held annual community air show in Old Forge, New York CD Walt Throne organized the 2003 air show from Giant Scale RC Aerobatics to Control Line Outdoor Free Flight is alive and well in District II - Brooklyn Skyscrapers held its annual Sky-Scraper Annual at Barron Field in Wawayanda, New York  Congratulations to Junior US Team Members, Sara Radziunas wins F1B - Amanda Barr who won both F1J/P and ABC Gas.
