Old Business:
Mothers Day Breakfast:
The following was discussed and finalized for the Mothers Day Breakfast that will be held at the Elks Lodge on Groton Avenue.
The cost of the breakfast will be $1.00 per head plus the cost of the food. In order to keep expenses down, the menu will be Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Sausage, Coffee, Orange Juice and Apple Juice.
Considering the menu, the cost of the tickets was decided to be $5.00 per person and children under 5 will be free with an adult.
Paul has offered to print the Breakfast tickets free of charge to the club. 500 tickets will be printed. Included on the ticket printing will be contact information on the reverse side of the ticket for the purpose of soliciting new members.
Debi volunteered to put together a flier to get to local venders that are willing to display the flier for the Breakfast at their place of business.
Paul will get information to Wilber so he can arrange advertising on cable channel 2 for the event.
Debi volunteered to get advertising prices for the “Shopper” and will report at the next meeting.
Walt’s Hobby has donated a “Slow V” for us to raffle off in order for the club to raise additional funds. The ticket price for this raffle was not decided at this meeting.
It was decided that an additional 50/25/25 raffle be held. 50% of the raffle would go to the winner, 25% would go to the club and the remaining 25% would go to Vera House of Syracuse. (Vera House is a non for profit agency working to end domestic and sexual violence)
Paul will look into the possibility that the club can buy some of the food stuffs for the breakfast to keep costs down. It is not known if this is possible or not considering the licensing rules the Lodge kitchen has to follow.
It was decided that for the club members that are able to sell pre sale tickets should commit to selling10 tickets each. Tickets will be available at the next meeting.
A motion to accept the decisions made for the Breakfast was made. Dan accepted the motion seconded by Wilber.
