Current Guidelines for Submissions to WNYFFS Web Pages.

1. Contributions must be in an electronic format.

Microsoft Word is preferred if the contribution is text content to the site.

Microsoft Excel (saved as a tab delimited .CSV file) if table data like the results of a contest.

Indicate where the article / information should be located on the web site.

i.e. Community / Building Techniques –> add new article , see attached Microsoft Word File.

i.e. Community / For Sale or Free -> "I have a old K & B 23 for sale" / " I am looking for an old K & B 23 to buy from anyone" , include terms , shipping and how to contact you.

i.e. Breaking News -> see attached Microsoft Word file.

2. Corrections to existing web pages can be made through a simple email as a request to correct or change information, add a date / additional information or for a suggestion to an existing web page or a new one.

i.e. Please add the Indoor flying site at the “Pieters Center to the “Flying Sites Menu” Google Maps Page.

i.e. Contests / Empire State Free Flight Championships 2006 - Correction to the time for Jon Doe in ½ A Gas – should be 312.

3. For photos – Please use the JPG file format in a medium resolution (2 mega pixel) if possible. This is just to hold down the size in email and the club has a size restriction on the webpages from the AMA District II. It is fairly large but it can be used up fast. If you don't know how to change this - send them anyway , I will change them before posting to the site.

Please include a caption for each photo somewhere in the information sent. . i.e. IMG10012.jpg = “John Doe flying his Starduster 600 at the GGG 2007. You can use a Microsoft Word file for this.

For more than one photo – please compress the files for emailing using the Zip commands available in Windows XP, Vista or Mac OS. 3.
